Serenity Cove Counseling
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.
Seeking therapy is not an easy task, yet it could be one of the most rewarding. When struggling to keep up with life’s demands despite doing our best, we can feel like we’re falling short, or worse, failing. We can get overwhelmed or burned out, and not even realize. Some might suffer from crippling anxiety, relentless negative self-talk, and/or deep-seated limiting beliefs which can prevent actualizing potential. While we all endure painful experiences, sometimes it seems like too much. Often, it truly is. Mental health issues, such as bipolar disorder or complex trauma can exacerbate matters.
Whether struggling with relationships, unhealthy behaviors, or a lack of joy or purpose, therapy can be a helpful step. Attaining insight and adaptive coping skills can be key in facilitating change. Or perhaps a non-judgmental ear to hold space for sadness or disenfranchised grief is what’s needed most. It is all valid. Seeking support is not akin to showing weakness. On the contrary, to acknowledge and surrender to one’s truth is vulnerable and brave. It is an act of courage you’ve found yourself here.
With decades of working with diverse cultures around the world, across a variety of industries, in corporate settings and in the field of psychology, Yvonne provides a distinctive and validating therapy experience. Combining years of professional and personal work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, mindfulness, 12 step and recovery from codependency and narcissistic abuse, Yvonne strives to create a welcoming, warm and safe space at Serenity Cove Counseling.
